Neighbourhood Policing
In her New Year Message, the Eastbourne District Commander, CI Jayne Dando, said:
"Some of you may have seen the television adverts over the Christmas period talking about the 'Policing Pledge' The Pledge is our 'promise to the public' about the service we deliver to you. We will support law abiding citizens and pursue criminals relentlessly to keep you and your neighbourhoods safe from harm. Our aim is to-
- Treat you fairly, with dignity and respect.
- Provide information about your local neighbourhood policing team.
- Be visible in the community.
- Reply to messages for our Neighbourhood teams within 24 hours.
- Safely attend all emergencies within 15 minutes.
- Safely attend to vulnerable people and local priorities within 1 hour.
- Arrange and publicise monthly local meetings in your area.
- Provide information about crime and court outcomes.
- Update victims of crime on a regular basis.
If you are not happy with our service we will discuss this with you within 24 hours to put it right.
We are working hard here at Eastbourne to make sure we are in the right shape to deliver on these promises."
